Family Home
We noemden het een Family House (familiehuis), maar we hebben het snel omgedoopt in Family Home (familiethuis), maar de nadruk op de "t" van thuis. Je thuis voelen, daar waar mensen van je houden en het fijn en veilig wonen is. Dat wilden we bewerkstelligen voor een aantal kinderen die in de vakanties op school moeten blijven om de eenvoudige reden dat er geen (veilige) thuissituatie is.
Dus zijn we aan het rekenen gegaan, is er een voorstel gekomen, zijn er tekeningen gemaakt en uiteindelijk konden we besluiten dat we hier een project van konden maken; een beetje ons paradepaardje, want we hebben hier allemaal zo'n goed gevoel bij! Toen we ook dit project betaald kregen vanuit het Vermogensfonds, stond de weg open om te starten met de bouw.
De plek waar het Family Home moet komen te staan
De bouw is begonnen en in juli 2024 was al het grotendeels af. Het huis kan nu geschilderd worden. Vervolgens worden de toiletten, sanitair en luiken geïnstalleerd. Daarna is het Family Home klaar voor gebruik!

We called it a Family House, but we quickly renamed it to Family Home, but with the emphasis on the "t" of home. Feeling at home, where people love you and it is nice and safe to live. We wanted to achieve that for a number of children who have to stay at school during the holidays for the simple reason that there is no (safe) home situation.
So we started calculating, a proposal was made, drawings were made and eventually we were able to decide that we could make a project out of this; a bit of our showpiece, because we all have such a good feeling about this! When we also received payment for this project from the Wealth Fund, the way was open to start construction.
Construction has started and in July 2024 it was largely finished. The house can now be painted. Then the toilets, sanitary facilities and shutters will be installed. After that, the Family Home is ready for use!
